The Psychosocial
Perspectives was a 2 day workshop on May 14th and 15th 2007 which explored a range of psychosocial
issues associated with HIV/AIDS and how these impact on individuals'
lives.
Significant advances have occurred in the treatment and care
for HIV/AIDS since 1996 leading to improved health outcomes for
people living with HIV/AIDS. Increased life expectancy and improved
health has meant that many issues that may not have surfaced
because of illness are now at the forefront and seem to be intertwined
with sustaining access to treatments and achieving healthy outcomes
for people living with HIV/AIDS.
Talks for the workshop are attached on the program page along with the workshop program.
